Hair has always been a girl’s favourite naturally growing accessory. While a lot of us simply like to be risk free in order to keep this precious adornment safe and strong, many fear any sort of styling might damage their beloved mane. Despite all these cautions, we often fail to control hair fall or damage owing to our lifestyle choices. Keeping all this in mind, team Fabbon decided to come up with this simple 4 week guide to having stronger hair, because we know how much a girl loves her tresses!
Week 1
1. Get a trim
Brace yourself to shed a few inches (at least 2-3) of your beloved hair as a starter for this routine.
Note: Blunt cuts with scissors always create healthier ends then razors and thinning shears.
2. Shampoo like a pro
Use less amount of shampoo on your hair as excessive quantities tend to make your hair even rough. Read what the shampoo is claiming. Always go for the ones that have words such as “hydrating”, “repair”, “conditioning”, among others on it. Once a week, add a tablespoon of sugar to your shampoo as exfoliating the scalp increases blood flow.
3. Say no to hot tools
At least for some time, keep your dryers and straighteners away.
Week 2
1. Switch to a hair friendly diet
Eat more peas, kidney beans, quinoa and chickpeas, among others as they provide the crucial nutrient of protein, essential for strong hair growth. Drink more water as hydration helps in preventing dryness in your scalp and dullness in hair.
2. Start Oiling
Oil nourishes the hair roots and keeps them healthy. Do this regularly to provide the required nutrition to your hair.
3. Condition like never before
Use deep conditioners to nourish your hair. They work the best in a steamy shower and when left for at least 5 minutes before rinsing it off. Follow this for at least thrice in the week.
Week 3
1. Colour with care
Minimise the colour trauma to your hair by changing the way you colour. Switch to a low or no ammonia line of hair colour.
Week 4
1. Be kind to your hair
Prevent combing or brushing wet hair as it overstretches the hair shaft. Detangle knots with fingers or a wide tooth comb. Choose your hair brush carefully – generally go for one with natural, nylon or rubber tipped bristles.
2. Be cautious about every hair detail
Update your regular dryer to an ionic one. Whenever you are using a hair tool like a rod or a straightener, moisturise your hair liberally and air dry it until damp. Reduce heat exposure by always sticking to medium temperature. Keep the heat at or below 350 degrees ALWAYS.
Simple and easy to follow right? And trust us, with these minimal changes to your hair routine, you are going to be endowed with strong and healthy hair like never before. So, without further ado, start your 4 week trial NOW!
