1. Some grean tea please?

The ingredients for this mask can be easily found in your kitchen. For example, a green tea sachet with honey and lemon can act as an extraordinary treatment for acne!

Ingredients: 1 bag of green tea or equivalent quantity of green tea leaves, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, 3 teaspoons of sugar.

How to use: Cut open the green tea bag, mix all the ingredients to form a thick paste and apply the same on your face. Keep it for 10-15 minutes and wash it off with water.

Why this Works: Green tea is full of antioxidants which helps in decreasing redness in the skin.

 

2. Bake soda to the rescue

Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil

How to use: Mix the ingredients and apply it over your face while avoiding the eyebrows (it’s quite sticky). Leave it for around 10 -15 minutes and then rinse it off. Try on this mask twice a week.

Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of turmeric, 3 teaspoons of raw milk/greek yogurt (full fat, unflavoured), 1 teaspoon of honey

How to use: Once you make a paste of the above ingredients, dab it over your face with a cotton swab. Was it off after 10 - 15 minutes with a cotton swab.

Pro Tip- The mask tends to leave a yellow tinge which can be removed by using apple cider vinegar to wash the face. Try this mask every fortnight.

Why this Works: Turmeric helps in killing acne bacteria, reduces inflammation and removes excess oil from the skin. Yogurt helps in exfoliation and removes dead skin cells. Honey has anti-bacterial properties and helps in moisturization.

 

4. Cool as a cucumber

Ingredients: 1 whole cucumber and 1 tablespoon of sugar

How to use: Mash the cucumber, strain off the water and mix one tablespoon of sugar to make a fine paste. Apply the paste on your face and keep it for around 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water.

Why this Works: Cucumber’s cooling effect helps reduce irritation and redness caused by pimples. It is rich in Vitamin E and has other nutrients like Silica which help in healing the damaged skin from acne.

 

5. Oatmeal for your skin
