Have you ever wondered why you look good or bad in ceratin pictures? How can one ensure that one alsways looks good in the selfies? Worry not as we have captured a few foolproof tips to ensure you look your best every time the camera clicks.

1. Hide the double chin

Simply press your tongue on the roof of your mouth when you smell. It elongates your neck and jawline, and helps avoid that dreaded double chin. If you don't believe us, supermodel Heidi Klum follows the same technique and the results make us green with envy.

2. Keep Eyes Open

Remember those pictures where everything looks great except your eyes are shut. A smart way to avoid this is to close your eyes and ask the photographer to count to three. You open your eyes at three just on time to be clicked!

In case you are shooting outdoors, keep in mind that noon is the worst time because sun is the harshest.

3. Smile naturally

Take a minute to relax before the picture is taken and always ensure to give your natural smile.

4. Angle your face

Most of us have some degree of asymmetry in our face. To cover this up, try to pose sideways with ⅔ of your face in view and slightly tilt your chin up or down.

5. Hand Positioning

Posing your hand in one position while getting clicked may seem like the right thing to do but it actually ends up looking pose-y and even awkward.

Instead of keeping it so, scratch your neck and then touch your shoulder for the picture. This will look much more natural.

6. Twist your body and position your arms

The best way to take full body shots is to avoid looking at the camera head on. It’s the least flattering because you tend to look wider. What you should do instead is position yourself sideways and place your arm on your hips.

7. Bend the knee

Just bend one knee and put your weight on the straight jeans. What this does is enhances your curves and creates them if you don't have them.

8. Don’t follow the herd

Taking a group picture with all your friends, do you all really have to pose the same? Make your own signature pose or do something goofy, whatever it is avoid mimicking the group and be your own.
