Lakme Fashion 2017 Winter/ Festive 2017 kickstarted on 16th August with the Gen Next show presented by INIFD and went on till 20th August. Reputed Indian designers and brands of the likes of Sanjay Garg, Ritu Kumar, Doodlage, Gaurav Gupta, Anavila Misra, Masaba Gupta, Wendell Rodricks, Rahul Mishra, Manish Arora, Manish Malhotra etc showcased their impressive collections.

Our team didn’t miss a beat of the show and mapped popular trends on the ramp. Lately there has been a surge in graphic eye trends and the designers nailed every bit of this trend to perfection!

The best thing about graphic liners is the versatility factor. From tiny circles or triangles at the edges of your eyes, to elaborate feline flicks and straight or curvy lines, one can experiment to their heart’s content with this look.

Below are 7 looks decoded by the team to ante up your eye game with minimal effort in seconds!

1. Rectangular inner corner with feline flick

Kalki Koechlin for Nikita Mhaisalkar’s 'Serif' collection at the 6degreeplatform studio was spotted rocking this trend!
Cousin to a regular winged eyeliner, this look is great for people with small eyes as it enhances the inner corners. Play with this trend by creating rectangular edges at the inner corners of your eye. To go an inch further you may even try filling the edge with white or gold kohl and see your eye open up like magic!

2. Doting on ‘em dots

Fancy going a little beyond the definitions of traditional makeup? Create identical circles with your eyeliner, coloured or otherwise at equal length from the outer edge of your eye and turn heads like never before! Keep the rest of the look light and dewy for your eyes to standout.

3. Bolder lines, better lines

For those who don’t have the time to apply eyeshadow or want to keep things basic, this should be your go-to look. Put scotch tape diagonally and the outer edge of your eye and draw a line along it with your liner and taper to the inner corner. Fill the perimeter up with black liner and you’re the centre of attraction already!

4. Galaxy Grunge

Shots of the backstage action of the graduating class of GenNext Winter/Festive2017 Lakme Fashion Week is daring and bold. An easy way to create this look is to first smudge kohl or grey/ black eyeshadow onto the eye lids upto the brow and then use a dry brush, wet it sparingly with eye liner and make vertical strokes under lower eye lids and above the brow. Keep the rest of the face nude to attract maximum attention!

5. Why leave eye lower eye lids behind?

Sanjay Garg never ceases to create magic on the ramp. This LFW he went bold and drew straight lines with smudged kohl on under eye bags. Such looks the add extra oomph factor and depth to your eyes while hiding dark circles flawlessly!

6. Dig Gold!

Since graphic eye is customizable, one can create any and every look with it. Coloured eye brows are ruling the trend game this season, so why not pair the same with graphic eyes and see the duo slay the game?

Smudge your gold eyeshadow onto eye lids upto the brows and for those extra brownie points, paint ‘em brows too!

7. Extended wing to the Inner corner

Miss Universe India 2016, Roshmitha Harimurthy walked for designer Neha Agarwal and flaunted her graphic eyes to the core. For this look, extend the wing of your liner to the inner corner with a thin line on the eye lid and seal it with a square edge at the inner corner of your eye!

Keep the child in you alive with more such looks, while striking a perfect balance between minimal and adventurous. Experiment more and let the quirkiness begin!
