She has already won thousands of hearts with her acting skills and charm but something that a lot of people don’t know that is that before she became a Bollywood star, Jacqueline Fernandez was actually Miss Sri Lanka in 2006. Since then, she has been setting high standards for beauty and fitness. All of us have at point or the other wondered the secret behind her radiant skin and healthy body. As hard as it might be to believe, she actually suffered from severe acne problem as a teenager. This has made her appreciate the importance of a proper CTM routine. Her go to brands are Cetaphil, La Prairie Moisturizer and Dermalogica, but you don’t have to buy the same all you need to do is develop and maintain a good routine. For her lips, she often relies on honey instead of lip balms when she can.

Being the ambassador of The Body Shop, its no surprise that she absolutely loves some of their products. Especially the Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil and the Drops Of Youth Serum, that ensures a smoother and fresher skin. She also likes to use their Brazil Nut Body Butter on her skin. To keep her skin hydrated, she uses rose, mineral or aloe vera water as a spritz.

Makeup Routine

Like anyone who is acquainted with skincare and beauty, she always applies primer before her makeup and advises everyone to remove makeup before sleeping no matter how tired or late they are. One of her favorites is The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimizer. For off shoot days, she relies on BB creams over foundations, her Bobbi Brown eyeliner and bright lip balms.

Hair Care

Anyone who has seen her hair will know that she takes good care of it. Being aware about what suits your hair and doesn’t also helps a lot. For starters, she believes in the old school weekly hot coconut oil massages. Beer hair washes and homemade egg white masks help in getting that perfect shine. Her favourite hair products are from Kerastase. After any kind of heat styling of usage of styling products, she makes it a point to shampoo her hair.

Fitness Routine

She believes that a fit person is a happy one and we couldn’t agree any more. She emphasizes on the importance of eating right, sleeping well and exercising regularly for a healthy body, skin and hair. Her fitness regime includes an hour or two of work out at home. A mixed work out routine is what keeps things fun. From swimming and dancing to running, she does it all but yoga remains her favourite; Hatha, Ashtanga or Iyengar. And while at the gym, she prefers to do light weights and cardio.

Diet Plan

Hers is as much as a natural diet plan as it can get. She starts her day with a cup of green tea. Her meals are broadly divided into three parts macrobiotic diet plan: carbohydrates, proteins and vegetables, which include a combination of rice, beans and a stir fry or a salad. She incorporates a good amount of salmon and other Omega 3 rich foods, and avoid sugar. While on the go, she carries homemade nutri balls made of dry fruits and seeds and has a protein shake post-workout. Her dinners are usually light and only consumed when she’s hungry.

But as we told you earlier, hers is not an unattainable feat. She is a real girl who indulges once in a while. If the heart wants a pizza or a chocolate, the heart gets it. But you can cheat and still opt for the healthier versions like thin crust pizzas.

Her favourite foods are super foods like quinoa, flax seeds, nuts, nut milks, salads, green vegetables and fruits. She also drinks a lot of coconut water to keep herself and her skin hydrated.

Last but not the least, she doesn’t leave the house without a fruiticlicious body butter, a hand sanitizer, lip butter and a facial mist.
